(1) 4 rational numbers between 1/5 and 6/5. (ii) 3 rational numbers between 1/6 and 1/3​

1) 1/5 and 6/5

= 1/5 × 2/2 and 6/5 × 2/2

= 2/10 and 12/10

rational numbers are :

= 3/10 , 4/10 , 5/10 , 6/10

2) 1/6 and 1/3

= 1/6 × 4/4 and 1/3 × 8/8

= 4/24 and 8/24

rational numbers are :

= 5/24 , 6/24 , 7/24

first of all we need to make both denominators equal by multiplying with any other number.

1x2 and 3x2

2/6

Now again multiplying them

1x4=4. and. 6x4=24

so it becomes 4/24

now with other

2x4=8. and. 6x4=24

so the no. is 8/24

Now rational numbers between are

5/24, 6/24, 7/24
