WE KNOW THAT

Ratio of Area of two similar triangles is equal to the square of the ratio of corresponding sides

THEREFORE

ar. of triangle 1/ar. of triangle 2=(side)^2/(side)^2

ar.of triangle 1/48=3^2/4^2

ar.of triangle 1/48=9/16

ar.of triangle 1=9×48/16

ar.of triangle 1=9×3=27cm square
