Matter cannot be created nor be destroyed so how do we have matter around us

See matter cannot be created nor be destroyed but can only change it's state from one state to another. And the matter around us are not created but they existed.
Here I guess u have a misconception about cells and matter. Now as we see around us we see different types of materials some dead cells and some which were never cells. Some like wood and all are not matter but dead cell and the bricks and all are matter.
See now we know that once wood was a part of a living tree so the cells got multiplied and formed the peace of wood.
Now we see the bricks. They are not cells so they are matter they were not created by us but just we combined a lot of it and made the brick.
The statement just means that if u take an ice cube 10g and melt it to water and measure it, it's still 10g this shows that matter cannot be created nor be destroyed but it just changes it's state.
