Direct Speech - "May I help you" I said.


Indirect Speech - I asked if I might help you.


Rules for changing Direct Speech to Indirect Speech -

1. May changes to Might

2. Since its a question, Said changes to asked and the phrases like if, whether are used.

3. The sentence changes to Past Tense.

4. Indirect Speech changes the tense but the meaning of the tense remains Same.
