Mayan travelled 28 km due North = AB

he travelled 21km due East = BC

therefore to find out the least distance he could have travelled from point A =AC

therefore :---

AC ² = AB²+BC² ( Pythagoras theorem)

= 784 +441 km

=1225 km

AC = √1225

AC =35 km

Ans:-- Mayan could have travelled the least distance of 35 km.
