Material width cannot be justified using Van-der-Pauw measurement.

• It is a method used to determine the transport properties of electrical materials.
• Using this method we can determine the following:-

           1. Resistivity

           2. Hall coefficients

           3. Electrical conductivity

           4. Concentration and mobility of carrier charges.

It is a four-point measurement method and it is applicable only if;

• The four points are on the edges of the sample.
• They are smaller than the sample's area.
• The sample to be measured has a uniform thickness.
• The thickness is smaller than the four points.
• The sample material does not have any holes or islands.
