The Indian Independence Movement is a noble struggle that marked the beginning of the end of British colonisation in the world.

In this sentence, the term 'noble struggle' means honorable endeavors. Dissent towards the ruling British Imperialists started the First War of Independence commonly known as the Sepoy Mutiny - Revolt of 1857.

Sepoys of the East India Company's army from Meerut declared mutiny on 10th May 1857.

The mutiny quickly spread towards Central India and the rebels declared an aging Bahadur Shah Zafar as the Emperor of Hindustan.

The mutiny was only stopped with the rebels were defeated in Gwalior in 1958.
