Centroid is the point of intersection of medians of a triangle. It is the point where the three medians ofv the triangle meet.
Median of a triangle is obtained by joining the vertex and the mid-point of opposite side of the triangle.
The centroid divides the median in the ratio 2:1 . To find the centroid of a triangle whose vertices are given, follow the steps:
1. First choose a side whose mid point can be determined easily. You can choose any side.
2. Find the mid-point on that side.
3. Now, the centroid divided the line joining the opposite vertex and this mid point in the ratio 2:1.
4. You know how to find a point which divides a line in the ratio m:n or k:1. Use the formula to find the point which divides it in the ratio 2:1
5. You will get the centroid.
