Answer:
In Act 1 Scene 1 of Shakespeare’s Merchant of Venice, Salerio, Antonio’s friend, talks to Antonio. He addresses to Antonio’s unexplained depression and his lost mind.
He reprimands that Antonio’s mind is wandering in the large oceans where Antonio’s huge merchant trading ships are sailing smoothly like the rich and huge parade floats on the sea.
He further says that Antonio’s ships sail along with other smaller ships and it looks like they are bowing to Antonio’s ship and refers Antonio’s ship to a big bird that is flying past the small ships.
