This poem basically tells about the life a farmers wife after the death of the farmer. She tells that he was virtuous so he died soon but she is a sinner so she is till alive. She tells that death is not the solution for each n every problem. She is very dissatisfied with his act n she questions him how can he cross over his responsibilities being a man n leave all the responsibilities on a woman who was born with her head bent. She tells all cotton crops may be destroyed so he committed suicide by consuming poison. But how can a mother see the cultivation of her womb getting destroyed. She als o makes a decision that she will teach her children to face the problems n find a solution for it.
