Which measures will you suggest to prevent the decaying of vegetables
There are many mechanisms of prevent the decaying of vegetables. Following are the list of preservation methods :
▪Refrigeration & Freezing : In this method, micro-organisms like bacteria and fungi stop growing. Because in low temperature, their growing process gets slow down.
▪Canning and bottling : In this method, fruits and vegetables are kept in airtight container. So that no more micro-organism can get into in it.
▪Drying : In this method, drying dehydrates fruits and vegetables and then kept into sealed container. As we know, micro-organisms needs moisture to grow and in dried foods they cannot grow.
▪Chemical preservation :In this method, some safe chemicals like salt, oil, sugar or vinegar can be added to food to stop the bacteria and fungi from feeding and growing.
