let x be that angle, y its supplement and z its complement.
y= 180 - x and z= 90 - x
the supplement of x is three times its complement, so y=3z
180 - x = 3( 90 - x)
180 - x = 270 - 3x
- x + 3x= 270 -180
2x= 90
x=45.
so the answer is 45.

Step-by-step explanation:

supplementary angle=180-x

complementary angle=90-x

given that supplementary angle is thrice of complement then,

180-x=(90-x)3

180-x=270-3x

-x+3x=270-180

2x=90

x=90/2

x=45
