Basic function of nephrons is to clear out the blood plasma from unwanted substances. Urea , creatininie, uric acids, hippuric acids and drug remains etc cleaned by nephrons. The fluid comings out from the nephrons, containing these unwanted substances is called urine .

The Urine formation involves three steps:-

\small\star\tt\underline\purple{Glomerular\:Filteration-}

Blood is filtered from the glomerulus into Bowman's capsule of the nephron. This filterate passes through the tubules of the nephron.

\small\star\tt\underline\green{Tubular\:re-absorption-}

Now, useful substances from the filterate like \small\sf{{Na}^{+}} , \small\sf{{K}^{+}} ,glucose, Amino acid, etc. are reabsorbed by the capillaries surrounding the nephron into the blood.

\small\star\tt\underline\orange{Secretion-}

Urea, extrawater and salts are excreted into the tubule which open up into the collecting duct & then the ureter.
