Given :

  • Medicine is packed in boxes
  • each weighing 4 kg 500 g.

To find :

  • How many such boxes can be loaded in a van which cannot carry beyond 800 kg?

Solution :

van can carry a weight of 800 kg

=> (800 x 1000) g

=> 800000 g

weight of one packet = 4 kg 500 g

=> 4 kg + 500 g

=> (4 x 1000)g + 500 g

=> 4500 g

number of packet that can be loaded in the van

=> 800000/4500

now,

4500)800000(177

- 4500

-------------------------

35000

- 31500

-------------------------

35000

- 315000

-------------------------

3500

=> 177 packet loaded in van

Given :

Medicine is packed in boxes, each weighing 4 kg 500g.

ㅤㅤ

Find :

How many such boxes can be loaded in a van which cannot carry beyond 800 kg?

ㅤㅤ

We know that ,

We know the given medicine is 4kg 500g.

→ 4kg + 500g

→ 4000 + 500

→ 4500 g

ㅤㅤ

We know that given weight that van can carry is 800kg.

→ 800kg × 1000g

→ 800000g

ㅤㅤ

Applying formula :

★ Boxes = No.of boxes the van can carry/Weight of the medicines.

ㅤㅤ

Calculations :

→ 800000/4500

→ 177 boxes

ㅤㅤ

Therefore, the van can carry 177 such boxes
