≫ We know that the change of a substance form one State to another is not considered as a chemical change and can be reversed. So here the wax of the candle just changes from solid to liquid state, but later on can be reversed back to solid state on cooling. And hence Melting of wax is a physical change.

≫ When a candle burns the wax that is present near the wick of the candle gets absorbed during the process of buying and of course can't be reversed back to old form and hence is considered as a chemical change.
