Answer:

School days have been the most memorable phase of our life...time when clearing exams were the only stress and picnic/trips were opportunities to let loose and create memories. But if you were a student of Convent school, your school life must have been a roller coaster ride altogether, of which Christmas was a major part. Beautiful weather, the festive vibe in the air, weeks-long practice sessions, Carols echoing loud and long, and winter break post the Christmas party were everything we (students) looked forward to enthusiastically. This Christmas, while taking a trip down the memory lane, I tried to recollect memories that are an important and indispensable part of my life. Let's go back in time and cherish all those happy Christmas moments.

This was the only time of the year when all the sisters (Nuns) would gather to sing melodious carols. And irrespective of the religion, every student would sing along in sync. Lighting up the classrooms with fairy lights, and decorating every nook and corner with balloons was on everybody's to-do list. While working together to have a successful party, Christmas evoked a collective spirit among us (students). Do you remember playing 'Secret Santa' during Christmas? This game of exchanging small gifts and cute messages to one of our classmates secretly was fun in itself. In fact, it was the easiest way of bonding with people outside of friend circle.

The first performance of the day, without a change, was the play where our seniors would dress up like Mother Mary, Joseph, the wise men, shepherds, and others to recreate the birth scene of Jesus (The sequence of the program never changed a bit in those 12 years of school). Christmas was the chance to get inside our school church (which otherwise would remain locked in the working hours) and enjoy the Christmas festivities. Not to forget the eye-catching decoration. Moreover, Board decorating competition on Christmas was organised to indulge students in healthy competitions. And Christmas would offer a rare sight...Remember how our eyes would keep looking for our favourite teacher cycling around the school, dressed as Santa, distributing chocolates and candies among students. Wasn't that funny? We were allowed to dress up in coloured clothes and not uniform. Well, you won't understand the joy of it until your school life gets over. After the events, we would head back to our classroom to get our share of chocolate pastries. After all, Christmas is incomplete without treating oneself with yummy food.
