He hardly knew about Oliver and rumours said he was a robber. But he didn't care for rumours, he showed his kindness to Oliver. Later his friend came to see Oliver and said he was not trustworthy but Mr.Brownlow shook off these things and sent Oliver for a trusted job. This shows that Mr.Brownlow was a person who had faith in the goodness of people
