Law of inheritance was discover by Gregor Johann Mendel .(1st law ) law of segregation ,(2nd law)law of independent assortment
He selected the garden pea because he found a number of contrasting visible character ,namely ,round and wrinkled seeds ,tall and dwarf plant ,etc. pea mature within a short period of time
He found that garden pea have true breed in F2 generation i.e, homozygote
