Bharatiya Janata Party upholds five fold concepts viz - ‘Shuchita’(Probity in Public life) ‘Suraksha’ (Security) ‘Swadeshi’ (Economic nationalism). ‘Samajik Samarasatan’ (Social harmony) and ‘Hindutva’ (Cultural nationalism)5 certain points have been replaced or variously stated at different places. Illustratively in one of its National executive meeting stated the following point as its basic plank viz - (1) Cultural nationalism (2) Economic Sovereignty (3) National Security (4) Democracy (5) Social Harmony (6) Value - based politics Similarly in anotherresolution itstated ‘Suchita’, ‘Swadesi’, ‘Samasta’ and ‘Suraksha’ in order to secure mandate from the electorate.
