Mention a negetive effects of irrigation .? How can irrigation transform the social landscape ?

1.Irrigation cause soil infertility. Because the water in canal/irrigation is stored long period of time and that water contain lots of salt.The water from canal goes into soil and make it infertile.
2.Other cause is it occupies space for making canal.
