During cell division the chromatin fibres become thick and ribbion like. These fibres are then called Chromosomes.

The centromere is the part of a chromosome that links sister chromatids.

In cell biology, the centrosome is an organelle that serves as the main microtubule organizing center (MTOC) of the animal cell as well as a regulator of cell cycle progression.
