QUESTION -

Mention any four factors responsible for the annual movement of the Dhangars

ANSWER -

The Dhangars lived in central plateau of Maharashtra during the monsoon season.

This being semi arid region provided great grazing land for their flock By October, they moved to the Konkan region because this was the time when the kharif crop was cut.

The stubble here made great fodder for the flocks.

With the onset of the monsoons, they left the Konkan area and returned back to the central plateau region because their flock could not tolerate the wet conditions of the monsoons there.
