Insects move from flower to flower in search of food that allow pollen to get stick on their body and carry pollen as well from flower to flower result into cross pollination. Wind flow helps to blow the pollen from one flower to another.

Two contrivances of cross-pollination are-

Dichogamy- different times of maturation of male and female reproductive organs of a plant.

Heterostyly- Different lengths of stamens and pistils which does not allow self-fertilisation.
