Migration due to marriage is not considered migration by the definition of census. Half of the population (female) in our country migrate due to marriage but are not included officially.
Most of the villages due to geographical constraints have limited economic activities. Limited economic activities also restricts employment opportunities. Population increase is insufficiently met by economic opportunities which lead to increase in mobility of the rural population.
Village economy is mainly based on agriculture and people without agricultural land find hard to sustain as there are hardly any other economic activities. They are forced to migrate for better opportunities.
