Prokaryotic cells lack in most of the other cytoplasmic organelles present in eukaryotic cells. Manyof the functions of such organelles are performed by poorly organised parts of the cytoplasm. The chlorophyll in photosynthetic prokaryotic bacteria is associated with membranous vesicles( bag like structure) but not with plastids as in eukaryotic cells

These are the cells having no organized nucleus. These only have nucloid. DNA lies free in the cytoplasm. They don't have nuclear membrane. They don't have nucleolus. Cell division takes place by budding or fission.
