Two factors which led to the freedom movement in India are:
1. The introduction of English and Western system of education exposed Indians to the ideas of democracy and nationalism. English became the medium of exchange of ideas from different parts of the nation. This helped to unify the people and encourage them to fight for freedom from the British rule
2. The partition of Bengal by Lord Curzon in 1905. This was done to weaken the Congress and to divide the Hindus and Muslims. The partition gave an impetus to the freedom struggle. The Boycott and Swadeshi Movements were launched to protest against the partition of Bengal.
