Composite culture was at its peak during the Mughal period. There are many factors that illustrate this.

Painting took birth as an art form took birth during the Mughal rule. While it drew its influences from Persian traditions, the Mughal paintings slowly began to demonstrate Indian style. Soon, it spread to various parts of the country in different regional styles.     

Festivals of all religions were celebrated with pomp and show in the Mughal Durbars. Moreover, the well-known Hindu epics Mahabharata and Ramayana were translated into Persian and Arabic. There were 60 different translated versions of these epics.
