Endoplasmic Reticulum :- Endoplasmic Reticulum can be defined as a membrane system made in a series with cytoplasm. It plays a big role in modification and Synthesis.

\huge\sf{\underline{\underline{\red{Functions-}}}}

  • Endoplasmic Reticulum synthesis carbohydrates.

  • It transport materials.

  • It forms flattered sacs.

  • It plays a great role in function for detoxification.

There are two types of Endoplasmic Reticulum—

  • Rough endoplasmic reticulum.

  • Smooth endoplasmic reticulum.

\sf{\underline{\red{Rough\: Endoplasmic\: Reticulum-}}}

  • Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum occurs in both plant and animal cells. It is bounded by ribosomes and store proteins.

\sf{\underline{\red{Smooth\: Endoplasmic\: Reticulum-}}}

  • Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum doesn't have ribosomes as rough Endoplasmic Reticulum have. SER produce proteins.
