The sex ratio is determined by the ratio of males to females in a sample population in city and villages.
In most ideal sexually ratio tends to be 1:1.
However this ratio can be deteriorated by various ways.
The prime reason of low female population is selective abortions.
Other minor reasons are wars, calamities etc.
Sex ratio globally stands at approximately 107 boys per 100 girls.
But, this ratio has no basis and not the true picture because in many countries such as India, China, Pakistan and Arab countries this ratio is highly fabricated showing wrong female , male proportion.
Present sex ratio of India: As per census of 2011, sex ratio of India is 940 females per 1000 males.
This ratio is an improvement over last census (2001), in which sex ratio increased to 933.
