Osmosis is the process where there is movement of solvent from region of its higher concentration to region of its lower concentration through semipermeable membrane. Osmosis is affected by some of the features like as follows:

• Permeability of membrane – This allows the "movement of solvent and its rate".

• Concentration differences – Concentration differences between "two solutions" affect rate of osmosis.

• Temperature – "Higher temperature" facilitates rate of osmosis.
