Additionally, many of these rodents have developed highly specialized method of keeping water in their bodies. 3) Fennec fox - The Fennec fox seem to be the only carnivore living in the sahara desert that is able to survive without free water. Their large ears, which are usually 6 inches long, help dissipate excess body heat on hot days in the desert.
