(2) Major part of the constitution would be amended by the parliament alone .

(3) The constitution does not prescribe the time phrame within which the state should ratify or reject an amendment submitted to them

(4) There is no provision for holding a joint sitting of the two houses of parliament .

(5) The process of amendment is similar to that of legislative process .
