Adverbs, as we know, tell us how an action was done. In other words, they tell us more about the verbs.

The five kinds of adverbs are :-

  1. Adverbs of Manner
  2. Adverbs of Time
  3. Adverbs of Place
  4. Adverbs of Frequency
  5. Adverbs on Purpose

Adverbs of Manner:-

They tell us how the action takes place and answer the question how.

Example- How does she cook? She cooks well.

Some Adverbs of Manner are Bravely, fast, badly, slowly etc.

They point out the time of an action and answer the question when.

Example- She came yesterday.

Each of the adverbs tell us more about when the action takes place.
