The Saminist Movement :-

The Saminist Movement was an Indonesian social movement founded by Surontiko Samin in North-central Java, Indonesia in the late 19th and early 20th century. Saminism rejected the capitalist views of the colonial Dutch, who predominantly forced taxes upon the people of Indonesia, including the poor, and monopolized their free public forest lands. These lands were of consisting of precious teak forests used for trade.
The Saminist Movement was a conservationist movement which aimed at protecting the forests of Java and preventing the exploitation of the forest resources by the Dutch authorities.
