Ayush is receiving momentum as an effective alternative to the convectional system of medicine by the virtue of its systematic approach to cure and prevent ailment using natural resources.
AYUSH has ensured that their is sustained availability of quality raw material from medicinal plants.
AYUSH has ensured conservation of medicinal plants and capacity building in medicinal plant sector.
The practitioners of AYUSH system enjoy high local acceptance and respect and consequently exert considerably influence on health beliefs and practise.
It has ensured affordable drugs and services which are safe ad of great importance.
It has facilitated availability of raw drugs which are authentic and contain essential components as required under pharmacopoeia standard to help to improve quality of drugs for domestic consumption and export.
It has also promoted good health and expand outreach of health care to our people, particularly those not provided with health cover through preventive, pro-motive, mitigating and curative interventions.
Ayushman Bharat Programme ( National Health Protection Scheme)
Mr. Arun Jaitely, the Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs introduced Ayushman Bharat Programme on February 1, 2018 while presenting the General Budget 2018-19 in Parliament. The main aim of the programme is to provide health security and promotion to the people of India.
The Government is going to open1.5 lakh health centres that will provide all types of health care facilites, along with free medicines and drugs to people. Rs.1200 crore have been allocated for this programme. Healthcare institutes in the private sector may also be looped in this programme.
The National Health Protection Scheme will cover as many as 10 crore poor families and provide financial health security upto 5 lakh rupees per family per year for all types of health care issues. This will be the world’s largest government funded health care scheme.
It is believed these two health care programmes will help in building a New India 2022; and ensure improved productivity, and wellbeing. These Schemes will also generate employment, particularly for women.
In conclusion it can be said, that this programme will
promote health and ensure health security for the poor people of India. Only
healthy people will make a healthy India; and only healthy India will be a
developed and advanced India.
