Allende has brought in several policies for helping the poor.

1.) His government reformed the educational system.

2.) He gave free milk to children.

3.) He redistributed the land to the landless farmers

4.) He opposed foreign companies for taking away natural resources from Chile.

Many like landlords, opposition party, the rich, the church opposed his government.
