• The basic idea behind power sharing is our constitution the extend of the sharing of the power between union and state government and it is the basis structure of the Constitution.

• The parliament alone cannot change this. For any changes, it has to be first passed by both the houses of parliament with at least two-thirds majority.

• The basic behind the decentralisation is that are large number of problems and issues which are best settled by the local government.

• It reduces the burden from the central and state government. It helps to concentrate on matters of national of state importance in a better way.
