The thorn forests found in the region which receive less than 70 CM of rainfall. These are found in the semi arid areas of haryana Madhya Pradesh Gujarat chattisgarh and so on. These trees have long roots which penetrate deep into the soil in search of water.
Leaves are thick and small to minimise evaporation. Some varieties of this are acius
palm cacti etc.
