properties of rational numbers:

commutative property: a+b=b+aa*b=b*a

associative property:a+(b+c) = (a+b) +ca*(b*c) =(a*b) *c

distributive property:a*(b+c) =(a*b) +(a*c) check:a*b=b*aa*b=1/2*3/4= 3/8 b*a=3/4*1/2=3/8

hence verified

a+b=b+a

a+b=3/4+1/2=5/4

b+a=1/2+3/4=5/4

hence verified

Step-by-step explanation:

properties of rational numbers :-

Commutative property - (a+b) =(b+a)

Associative property. - (a*b) =(b*a)

commutative = (a+b)=(b+a)

= [1/2+3/4] =[3/4+1/2]

=[2/4+3/4] =[3/4+2/4]

=[2+3/4] =[3+2/4]

=5/4. =5/4

Associative. =(a*b)=(b*a)

=[1/2*3/4] =[3/4*1/2]

=3/8. =3/8
