Pinochet's following actions made his rule nondemocratic — (1) In Chile a democratically elected government led by Salvador Allende was overthrown by a military coup led by General Pinochet in 1973 who then became the President of Chile, thus endangering the value of Sovereignty. (2) Pinochet deprived people of their political freedom and did not tolerating any dissent to his rule. (3) His government certainly introduced number of economic reforms which were not beneficial for the common people, but the private corporations, thus favouring the rich capitalist section/s of the society (4) Pinochet's rule could not be questioned by anyone.  Anybody who resented was ruthlessly dealt with, they were tortured and killed. (5) Women and children were denied of freedom of speech and expression. Under Pinochet's rule, women were not allowed to participate in public life. Henceforth, General Pinochet  ignored the following values:- (a) liberty, freedom, equality and justice (b) freedom of speech and expression of all (c) permission of exercising one's political right/s (d) Pursuit for Public Welfare.
