Specialized hydrometers are frequently named for their use: a lactometer, for example, is a hydrometer designed especially for use with dairy products.

__________

The HIdrometer is an instrument used to measure the specific gravity (or relative density) of the fluid.

A hydrometer is usually made of glass and has a cylindrical stem and a bulb which is loaded with mercury or lead shot, making it honest float. The liquid to be tested is inserted into a long container, often with a bachelor's degree of cylinder, and the hydrophotometer is slowly leaked into the liquid until it floats independently. The point at which the surface of the liquid touches the stem of the water meter is famous. Hydrators are usually on a scale inside the stem, so that specific gravity can be read directly.

A lactometer is a small glass instrument that tests the accuracy of milk on the basis of density / bounce. It is basically a glass tube with a round shaped surface in which there is some density inside it. Depending on the pressure and depth the fluid inside the tube will grow / decrease.

It is based on the theory of archemes, when we put the löhokometer inside the liquid, it experiences the bounce force (weight of displaced fluid). Therefore, the relative density measures in the given measure. Liquid will further reduce the density, the lochmim will sink.
