Mention the difference between nitrification and denitrification.

Nitrification is the process of conversion of ammonia, firstly into nitrates an into nitrites by the action of nitrifying bacteria such as nitrobacter

Denitrification is conversion of nitrates and nitrites of the soil into free nitrogen.
