(x-a)² + (y-a)²=0
This gives  (x-a)²=0 and (y-a)²=0
For (x-a)²=0
   ⇒ x-a=0  ⇒x=a
similarly for (y-a)²=0
                 ⇒ y=a
hence x/y=a/a=1
