Cuneiform was the oldest form of writing invented by Sumerians. In this form wedge shaped was made on clay tablets. This form of writing was invented in ancient Mesopotamian era.

Cuneiform writing was developed form pictographic writing in late 4th BC. Mostly signs were used to indicate name of countries, god, birds etc. These signs were made on Kish tablets which were made of limestone. It was most famous in ancient Middle East.
