The tribal of Andhra Pradesh were stopped from entering the forest. They thought this as their cultural rights are taking away from them.
They were also forced to do free begar in building roads.
This agitated them.They revolted against the Britishers.
Alluri Sitaram Raju came up as the leader. It was Believed that he can do correct astrological prediction , can take a bullet shot, can heal people etc.
He supported the ideas of Gandhiji except non-violence. He believed that Swaraj cannot be achieved without violence.
For this they attacked all those buildings that were seen as british power.
Finally Alluri was executed.

In the Gudem hills,Of Andhra Pradesh,a militant guerilla movement spread . The colonial govt. And closed large forest areas which affected the livelihood of the forest people . When the govt. forced them to contribute negative on free labour , they revolted. Alluri sitaram Raju inspired by Gandhi's ideals came to lead them and the Gudem rebels attacked police stations and carried on guerilla warfare for achieving swaraj....
