The consumer protection act is also known as COPRA.

It was implemented in 24th December, 1986.

It gave the right to seek redressal, it means consumer has the right to fill a case against the one who provides him/her faulty products.

According to this, cases within 20 lakhs are to be looked after by district consumer court.

cases between 20 lakhs to 1 crore are looked after by state consumer court.

Cases over 1 crore are to be looked after by national consumer court.

The right to information of 2005 RTI act gives people the right to know about the contents of the product.

Hope it helps!
