HOLA friend......

Rajdeep here.......!!

What is the function of Adrenaline hormone?

The Adrenaline hormone is a hormone which is secreted from the medulla portion of the adrenal glands, two of which are located above the kidney.

This hormone is popularly known as the "emergency hormone", as it prepares our body to face "emergency situation" or "fight or flight" situation. By doing the following things, it prepares us for an emergency situation:

1. It dilates our pupils, so that more light can enter our eyes.

2. It converts glycogen into glucose and leaves them in the blood, so that our muscles get more energy.

3. It constricts the cutaneous blood vessels so that more blood reaches the muscles and less blood reaches the skin.

4. It constricts the urinary and rectal sphincters.

5. It leads to the rapid pumping of the heart, so that more blood is pumped out.

6. It increases the rate and depth of breathing.

7. It dilates the bronchi and bronchioles so that more oxygen can enter the lungs.

Hope my answer is satisfactory.....
THANKS!
