Functions:

a) lipase - this enzyme helps in breaking down of emulsified fats into fatty acid and glycerol in small intestine

b) pepsin- this enzyme helps in breaking down of proteins into peptides in stomach

c) salivary amylase- this enzyme helps in breakdown of starch into maltose, iso maltose, alpha dextrine in mouth

d) large intestine- it absorbs water from the undigested food sent to it from small intestine

e) food pipe- also called oesophagus, it propels the food forward into the stomach through peristalsis. It's walls also secrete mucus for lubrication of food
