The Communist Parties (CP) used to be single until it got divided into the Marxist and Leninist, it is like all communist parties worldwide a member (or was) a member of Communist International or Cominterm, which was a worldwide militant organisation committed to world revolution.

The CPs are a traitorous and anti-national organisation which actually carried out celebrations in Bengal and other parts of the country, when the Chinese war of 1962 was ongoing as the Communist parties took orders from Moscow and Beijing and in that particular war both Moscow and Beijing were on the same side against Bharat. Even the naive Nehru government finally understood the truth and arrested many of these Commies.

Later in 1964, CPI and CPM split up, the CPM was more popular in Bengal and Tripura and the the CPI in other areas, mainly Kerala.

The 1967 Naxalbari incident was triggered with Chinese and Russian help by the CPI and CPIM together hoping for a country wide revolution to overthrow the central government.

The heights reached by the combined Left Front was in 2004 when they won a whooping 62 seats with CPI, CPM and other left oriented parties all pitching in. Since then, it is all downwards and in current Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha they are NOBODIES.

Overall their ideology is ossified and outdated and totally obsolete, even the CCP - Chinese Communist Party has whole heartedly embraced Capitalism.
