PHOSPHORUS-. the reason behind phosphorus being stored in water is , as phosphorus is very dense and heavy , it is highly reactive with moisture and is stored in water to avoid it's contact with air and any chances of explosions , it is highly ignitible as well , in case of any direct or indirect contact with moisture.(30°C)
  2. SODIUM-. sodium pieces explode when in contact with water. another reason being that it is highly reactive with moisture and oxygen.
